Indian Design Forum and IDF Singapore are proud to present their first event in Sri Lanka. The distinguished panel of speakers includes guest of honour Phillipe Starck, the world’s most revered living designer, who was in town to celebrate the launch of Sapphire Residences, where the interiors are designed by YOO Inspired by Starck. Sapphire Residences has risen to the zenith in the industry, as the best properties in Sri Lanka with its state-of-the-art architecture and design.

A highlight of the conference was the acknowledgement of Starck’s extraordinary contribution to the global design industry with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

‘IDF Colombo’ was held at the former office of the late world-renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, and consisted of a series of panel discussions featuring a select group of eminent regional and international design industry figures. John Hitchcox, the founder and director of YOO, and legendary designer Phillipe Starck also attended this event. The discussions explored topics such as responsible luxury and the relevance of architecture in an era of sustainability.

Phillipe Starck was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the design industry by IDF.
