2. Red Mosque

The picturesque Red Mosque of Pettah, which is also known as Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque, is truly a breathtaking masterpiece! The bright red and white exterior of the mosque makes it quite hard to miss for sure. It was designed by an unqualified architect named Habibu Labbe Saibu Labbe.

The construction work of this elaborate masterpiece took only a year too. It was opened back in the year 1909. The mosque is located in Second Cross Street in Pettah. Tourists can have visits arranged to this mosque today.
